Yoga is an ancient Indian art and science which is adopted as a self discipline and a way of life to promote positive health at physical, mental, social and spiritual planes of being. Yoga focuses on bringing harmony between mind, body; thought and action; restraint and fulfilment; harmony between man and nature and a holistic approach to health and wellbeing. This programme will help orientate medical and para-medical graduates and Yoga Teachers to integrate yoga therapy into their medical practice. As more and more medical, paramedical practitioners and Yoga Teachers in the country turn towards integrat4e healthcare practices for better patient care, this course looks to introduce yoga therapy to such practitioners. This course looks to introduce doctors to the theoretical aspects of yoga through yogic texts such as the Bhagavad Gita, Patanjali Yoga Sutras and the Yoga Vasistha. The modern lifestyle diseases require a holistic approach for their management. With the integration of yogic management with modern approach of healthcare, modern lifestyle disease will find a new panacea.
Becoming a certified Yoga Therapist with Ministry of Ayush Level 6 compliance, YCB level 6 exam options, and with essential knowledge and practical skills to apply yogic principles for preventive and therapeutic healthcare. The course blends classical yoga philosophy with scientific understanding, enabling learners to assess individual needs and design safe, effective yoga-based interventions. Graduates are prepared to work in wellness centers, clinics, rehabilitation settings, or independent practice, promoting holistic health and well-being.
